The girl’s volleyball program is no stranger to collegiate commitments; The varsity team’s efforts on the court have been very fruitful, providing opportunities for graduating athletes. After their impressive win at the Fraulein Volleyfest Invitational this August, many of our high school stars announced their commitments to top programs not only across Texas but across the entire nation.
Henley Anderson commits to The University of Texas
Junior Henley Anderson secured a spot on the varsity team as a freshman and committed to UT before the end of her sophomore year. As a powerful outside hitter, her game-winning spike stood out on the court and caught the eye of The University of Texas; a NCAA division 1 school. The Longhorns competed in the Big 12 Conference throughout the 2023 season before transitioning to the Southeastern Conference in 2024.
Callie Krueger commits to The University of Texas
Senior Callie Krueger is also committed to the University of Texas. As a strong libero, she plays a key role in helping her team and is a defense specialist, permitting her to have some of the highest responsibilities on the court. Her precision and proactive nature when it comes to multitasking on the court makes her a valuable member of the DSHS girl’s volleyball team, as well as the UT team.
Christa Wilburn commits to Southern Methodist University
Junior Christa Wilburn has announced her commitment to Southern Methodist University (SMU). She is known for her versatility and brings her skill to two different positions: right-side hitter and outside hitter. She is constantly solidifying her impressive reputation on the team and will continue to advance her skillset at SMU.
Eloise Roffers commits to Grand Canyon University
Senior Eloise Roffers has committed to Grand Canyon University to further her incredible volleyball career. She is noted at many different positions but is mostly highlighted as a middle blocker. The number 12 player is an extremely valuable member of the team and will continue to further her academics at GCU. The private school is an NCAA Division 1 athletics school and Roffers will likely be another integral addition to their program.
Ashley Euston commits to the University of Missouri
Senior Ashley Euston announced her commitment to the University of Missouri, a Division 1 school. The 6’2 middle blocker has been a member of the Tigers varsity team for 3 years and played an extensive role in their state championship last year. She is graduating early this semester to join the Mizzou team for their spring season and will continue her successful career into 2025.
